Information we collect
DafQuest stores account details such as your name, email address, and sign-in provider. We also store the learning information you choose to create, including completed Daf pages, playback position, bookmarks, subscriptions, teams, settings, support requests, and notification preferences. You may also add a broad country, state or province, and community region. Location is optional; DafQuest does not request a street address or live device location for audience insights.
Basic technical information may be processed to secure the service, diagnose errors, and prevent misuse. DafQuest does not collect your Google password or email-account password.
How information is used
- Keep your progress and preferences available across devices.
- Provide teams, streaks, bookmarks, subscriptions, and reminders.
- Respond to support and account-deletion requests.
- Protect DafQuest, investigate errors, and improve reliability.
DafQuest does not sell personal information and does not use learner information for third-party advertising.
Service providers
DafQuest uses trusted providers to operate the service. These may include Google for optional sign-in, Supabase for secure identity, OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure for hosting and storage, YouTube or podcast providers for learning media, and Resend for email delivery when that channel is enabled. Each provider processes only the information needed for its role.
Sharing and team visibility
Team members may see the progress information you choose to share, such as whether a Daf is complete and your streak. Private playback details are not shown to teammates. Administrators may access account information when needed to operate, secure, or support DafQuest.
If you enable broad-location insights, Master Admin may see the country, state or province, and region you entered. Rabbis receive anonymous totals only for learners connected to their content. A location is hidden from Rabbi dashboards until at least five learners in that location have opted in. Rabbis do not receive learner email addresses, phone numbers, or individual locations through analytics.
Retention and deletion
Information is kept while your account is active or as reasonably needed to provide and secure DafQuest. You can submit an authenticated deletion request from the Delete account page. Requests are reviewed and ordinarily completed within 30 days. Limited records may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.
Children and families
DafQuest is intended for people who can lawfully consent to use it or who use it with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate parental involvement. A parent or guardian may submit a support or deletion request for a child's account.
